This year i am embarking on a journey to run 1,000 miles. This for some sounds whimpy while to others sounds insane. Im doing it to prove to my self that i can, to shed a few pounds, and to compete in my first 1/2 marathon.
I kind of got hooked on running last year when my husband Matt and i decided to sign up for a 5k race. We did a small one in a town next to us and it was killer the last half was straight up a hill which we had not trained for at all!
Then we did the warrior dash which is a 5k mud run with obstacles it was seriously a blast!
After that we did another 5k which was very flat and both of us got a PR.
Now this year we have signed up for one 5k which is in 3 weeks on feb 9th. We plan on doing the 4th of July half marathon in our area and im sure we will sign up for some more races in between.
But how am i going to accomplish 1,000 miles? By trying to get a run in everyday, and with my half marathon training.
This is probably one of the hardest goals i have ever set for my self but i cant wait to accomplish it!
